In need of software recommendation?

The software will need to be able to take scanned documents (.tiff or .jpeg) and combine them into one document (pdf format is fine). It will also need to have the ability to delete certain elements of the original image or add text and/or markings as needed.

I thought Acrobat Pro would do the trick, but perhaps there are better options out there. Anyone got ideas?

Would Pages work for what you need?

It sounds as if you need a combination of OCR software and Acrobat Pro. OmniPage Pro is one such OCR application but I've seen one other--I think it's called Iris OCR.

I think Photoshop Elements can work around all that you mentioned and then output the pdf.
