Somewhere Back In The Long Ago
Long story, but I had to make a ver quick unexpected trip to Cornwall after the death of a friend.

I packed my Air, and took my iPhone but packed 2 chargers for my phone, and forgot the magsafe for my MBA

When I left home it was on 80% and I used it on the train, taking advantage of the free wifi.

On arrival my battery was at 69% I realised I had no charger as I unpacked, but my MBA managed to copy all the data I needed to deal with back home, and on the return journey it finally died just an hour from home!

Well done Apple, my 4S needed charging 6 times, but the Air did the job!

Max uptime on the 4S? 4.5 hours, but it was in constant use.....I'm dreading the bill

Good battery life is largely due to the relatively small displays (11" or 13") and the solid state drive.

I installed an SSD in my 13" X Series ThinkPad & now it gets the same battery life as my 13" 2011 MBA.

Despite the price premiums SSD's are quite nice.
