Some websites (for example: Gmail or YouTube) already have a cool icon when you bookmark them.

How can I do this with all websites? Or change the icon of the websites that already have one?

The app touchone allows you create homescreen links from your camera roll. You can save an image of your choice and then have it as a homescreen bookmark. Hope this is what you were looking for.

Icon change?! Are you maaaadddd?!?

:) can't change them

Its called a favicon. The Favicon is the little image next to the url. These are put in place by the web designer.

The only thing you can change is how you label them in your folders. On my mac I have some websites listed as a single letter. For example if I search for Yahoo on my mac or iPhone I can simple type "Y". This way it will be at the top of my choices. Since its listed on my Mac that way, it will look the same on my iOS devices.

Thank you for the technical info. I never knew what they were called before. Sucks that you can't add in your own Safari favicons on the iPhone :(

You can however save the website / page to your screen as an app so if you frequent that site just hit the icon and it will take you right to the website.

If you go to your favorite website and once there on the bottom you will see a box with an arrow pointing up. We have all seen this by now. Tap it and it will give your options. You want to choose "Add to homscreen" and before you do name it what you want and then click add at the top right. It will not put an icon on your homscreen so when you tap it - you will go right to the site you want without opening Safari. Simple and good luck.
