In store iPad Pro 9.7 pickups

Yeah...I know when these initial pre-orders take place that in-store pickups are unavailable. Do any of you remember how long it takes for Apple to turn the pre-orders on for in-store? (based on previous pre-orders)

(I live in a state with sales tax but am right next door to a state with an Apple store that doesn't have tax.)

I believe it doesn't happen until release day.

ETA, same here on the sales tax.

It's odd - for the iPad Pro 12.9" pre-order in November, I was able to pick it up the very next morning at my local Apple Store. No option for it this time.

I'd much rather go to the store than hang out all day and hope that I don't miss UPS/Fedex playing "ding dong dash" at my door on delivery day.
