I walked into a store yesterday just to look at the display models but they had a bunch in stock so I bought one. I would try calling a few local stores before you order one online.

Ordering from apple.com will result in a 3 week shipping time. Ordering online from ATT will result in about a 1.5 week shipping time. Call your local apple store, most stores are starting to meet demand with supply of walk in iphone stock.
