My friends over at Inateck asked me to share my thoughts on a newly-released product, the water-resistant Messenger Bag for 14-inch laptops and 15-inch MacBook Pros. I don't own a MacBook Pro (yet) but I tested it out with my Lenovo X1 Carbon ultrabook and it was a perfect fit.
This is the first non-electronic product I've ever tried from Inateck. The design of the bag is, of course a subjective point but I think it looks really nice and it is very well-constructed. As mentioned, my 14-inch X1 Carbon fits perfectly and is held securely with an adhesive velcro tab in a shockproof padded compartment.
The bag is extremely lightweight and can double as a briefcase. It also includes as shoulder strap, of course. The strap is very comfortable and easily adjustable. The bag is made of waterproof polyester and is scratch-resistant. There are 3 pockets inside and 2 compartments. The rear compartment is hidden which is pretty cool. It can hold a surprising amount of items for its compact size.
Overall I'm impressed by this bag and I think it is an excellent option for MBP owners looking for a lightweight, well-constructed and shockproof bag that is also water-resistant. I need to carry my ultrabook (as well as my future MBP) to and from a university I work at by motorcycle so this is perfect for me.
I think it would also be great for bicyclists and business commuters in general.
I don't know if this has been released in the US yet but it is already on sale at Amazon UK.
Disclaimer: I do not work for Inateck and have no affiliation with the company aside from being the satisfied owner of a number of their products.
