Got home, set my laptop bag down on my table, and it slipped and fell off maybe 3 feet. My laptop was inside the Neoprene InCase sleeve, and inside my bag. After looking at it, the computer had actually ripped through the sleeve and hit the ground pretty hard. Causing the aluminum casing to lift off a little bit.

Very disappointed. The computer actually ripped through the sleeve? Incase does NOT make the sleeve protective on the side.

You would think it would be worth the $34-$40.

Those sleeves aren't exactly meant to protect from falls/drops...more of cosmetic protection IMO.

As for tearing there, the dimpled trim sides are pretty darned thin. I imagine the cases were designed for the Plastic MacBooks and were just carried over for the Unibodies without taking the sharp Al edges into account.

The sleeve is marketed for the Aluminum MacBook.
The sleeve is originally made for slipping into a bag. Wouldn't someone have common sense to think bags are usually put down without a lot of caution?

Either way, it was a 4 foot fall.

The sleeve needs more protection on the sides.

A four foot fall could wreck quite a few laptops, sleeve or not, yikes!
