I have both and I prefer the Matte Black. I like the classic look.

I saw the matte black at Target and loved the look and feel, but have been leaning more towards the Griffin Clarifi lately. I don't care for the partially glossy middle, but do take quite a number of photos of product tags and the macro would come in handy.

I prefer the look and feel of the black matte, I have both. My black matte has not peeled or scratched one bit in 3 weeks, nor has my gun metal.

I have both and I say get the gunmetal. The matte will quickly wear off.

Black stripes, I'm assuming from the bumpers inside. They do wipe off but it just makes me kind of nervous.
