Many people seem to be clamoring for a size comparison between the two. Seeing as how I already had the Agent 18, I decided to pick up a Slider today, so y'all could compare the two for yourselves.

I hope I did a descent job of capturing the size differences for you guys.

iPhone InCase Slider vs Agent 18 Eco

Enjoy!

Great! I really like the incase slider, I wish you could get it in Australia.

I think I'm going to go for the Seidio Innocase. It's a really nice case, better than the Agent18 and won't scratch your ipod (as much) as the agent18.

Here are some user pics:

where?

Where would i go locally (in the US) to get a white incase slider case for my iphone? thanks

when I first picked up the white Slider case, the material looked very familiar.

I just realized that its made with very similar material as the Mighty Mouse for my Mac.

Regardless, very well made and slick.

Thanks for posting the comparison! I just bought my iPhone and waited on the case, because I couldn't decide which one to get. I'm pretty sure that this has helped. :D

Glad I could help. I know a lot of people were asking about the size comparison on the other thread. I saw the opportunity to buy one, and went for it.

I've had the InCase Protective Cover, ISkin Revo, Agent18 EcoShield, Seidio Rubberized Case, Seidio Innocase for Iphone, InCase Slider Case. Here are my conclusions:

1) InCase Protective Cover:
a) bad fit--loosens up over time, and doesn't completely seal around chrome allowing for stuff to get underneath and potentially scratch chrome.
b) great grip because its rubber type material
c) rather thick material

2) ISkin Revo:
a) great colors
b) pretty good fit
c) great grip
d) little too thick for my taste and I don't have any use for the clear protective cover.

3) Agent 18 EcoShield:
a) great fit because it is tight and not flexible
b) one of the thinnest, slightly larger than the InCase slider case.
c) pretty slippery, not alot to grip onto
d) nice matte finish

4) Seidio Rubberized Case:
a) very good grip
b) quite thin, and covers the mouthpiece and earpiece at ends which reduces face-prints from usage, and allows more grip when watching videos or surfing.
c) pretty good fit, but does show slight chrome. I really loved this case and had it on for months without taking it off. To my horror when I did, all the chrome was scratched to hell. I tried to buff them out, but they do not seem to be dirt, but real scratches. Very disappointing because I loved the case otherwise.

5) Seidio Innocase:
a) very good grip. I love the material used. Makes very easy to grip, but not too much that it sticks in your pocket.
b) Really cool colors--blue/black is a great look.
c) I would have considered keeping this one, but it shows chrome all around the phone. Problem is that the previous Seidio case scratched my chrome all to hell, so it looked like crap, so I couldn't use it. I needed a case that covered up the chrome.

6) InCase slider case:
a) the reflective black really highlights the phone.
b) fit is very good because it is a hard plastic that completely covers all chrome. Yet, tapered enough so there is no thick ridge around the edge of the phone.
c) grip is not so great. Pretty slippery, but with a little moisture in your hand it actually becomes pretty acceptable and much better than the phone by itself. In a cold dry climate it is pretty slippery, but still better than a nake iphone, mainly because it has edges that you can hold on to.
d) Definitely thinner than the Agent18. Hardly adds any bulk at all.

So, in conclusion, after many trials, I think for now I will continue to use the InCase Slider Case. It covers the nasty chrome scratches, has a tight fit, very thin, edges don't interfere with usage, so-so grip, does a good job with accentuating the phone, should be quite durable.

Hope this helps in your decision-making.

Zandian, do you think either of the Seidio cases would allow for a body film?

The slider case info states:

*Note: This case is not compatible with Invisible Shield or Body Guard products.

so likely not. It is a very tight fit.

You'd have a better chance with the rubberized case because it doesn't slide on, but it might not snap together all that well, and may likely pull away a bit around the screen if you can snap it together at all. It might be prone to popping open.

Zandian

I have used the Seidio rubberized case also. I highly doubt a body film will fit in there. It barely snaps in, it's a very tight fit.

I highly doubt it as well;but, seidio doesnt specifically state it like they do with the innovo, so I thought there might be a possibility. Even if you could squeeze it in I believe it would be very prone to pop open and likely wouldn't fit well around the screen.

Excellent reviews Zandian, but...

6) InCase slider case:
...
d) Definitely thinner than the Agent18...

^ I completely disagree with this. The Agent 18 is smaller.

Then again, I'm going by the Agent 18 Eco, which is a little thinner than the rest of their cases. You could be looking at a different one.

I'll continue to look for my old agent 18, and try to take some pictures, until then I have to go from memory. If eihe one is smaller it is by a very mnimal amount. My impression that the incase is smaller my be because it might be tapered more along the bezel. Again this is how I remember from the agent 18. Jet to be sure you and I are talking about the same Incase case? I'm not talking about the first one they came out with, I'm talking about the new hard plastic slider case, not the older rubberized one.

Zandian

whoops now I realize reading back that this review was on the difference between the incase slider and the agent 18. Your pictures of the seidio threw me off. If you have the incase slider and agent 18 in hand your opinion should be more accurate. If you could take a couple pix it mght help people decide.

I too really like the seidio slider. Very light, great grip, great blue/black cover. It sux my older seidio messed up my chrome so I couldnt use the seidio slider.

(I hope this is no violation of site rules or something, if it is I apologize and feel free to delete)

By the way, if anyone would like to purchase from me one of my past cases (except the Agent 18 because I can't find it right now), just let me know. We can do via paypal. Whatever shipping you want. Return within 7days if not satisfied, minus shipping. None of the cases have the original boxes, but all are in good shape:

1) Seidio Rubberized Case, blue, used ~1 week -- $20.00, plus shipping

2) Seidio Innovo Case, blue w/ black bottom, used 2 days -- $25.00, plus shipping

3) InCase Protective Cover, black, never used (was a replacement from Incase as a replacement for one of their first generation ones and never used) -- $20.00, plus shipping

I can get a slider case and put the film over the iPhone screen and it's no problem right?

I have the Power Support Anti-Glare on mine. No problems.

Can't wait for mine to come in. I went with white...(couldn't decide between black or white)

A couple of reasons why I went with white...

Apple.com only had black and it was 3-4 weeks before it shipped and they didn’t even have white listed.
The incase website didn’t have black available
White seems to give it a “pop” (although black with the black screen does look nice…
People said the black one is a fingerprint magnet.

The decision was easier for me because black wasn’t available soon enough for me and I didn’t want to wait a month for my case. I hope I end up liking the white one

Since you have the power supply anti-glare, it doesn’t take away from the screen too much does it? Everyone review except a few were great. Most said it seems like it was easier to navigate on the phone with the anti-glare on it.

Slider review

After having the Slider for a few days, here's my review:

The case looks very nice; I initially planned to purchase the white one, but after seeing it in person I decided to go with the black as the white made the case look a little too toy like for me.

The white does have a nice sheen to it but the black complements the iphone more. The black does attract fingerprints but they aren't really noticeable. The case is slippery, probably about the same as the Agent 18 which I had before.

The slider is better made and designed than the EcoShield as the plastic shows fewer seams and the tapered edges makes typing much better as its easier to hit the side keys in the keyboard.

That said, Incase should definitely take off their claim that the slider has "rubber bumpers" to protect the iphone from drops because my case only has two very thin rubber strips along the back, not bumpers, which seem to be there to hold the phone in the case through friction rather than provide protection. I don't know how Incase thinks that the rubber would provide any kind of shock protection as there is no rubber anywhere along the sides of the case so any drop impact wouldn't be absorbed by the case, which is what I was looking for when I bought this. The rubber along the back is about the thickness of a fingernail so pretty useless for protection anyways.

In conclusion, its a good looking case, but not really worth the price. I got it for $35 at the Apple store, which sells the EcoShield for $30, which I feel is still a little overpriced for a simple piece of plastic. If you're deciding between the two, I'd go for the Slider for the better design and appearance.

WHA WHA WHA????

Dang, that's one of the reasons I went with the incase slider.

Thanks for the review.

The 3-4 week shipping timeframe on Apple's website is bogus. I ordered the black slider last Sunday and it was shipped (fedex tracking and everything) the next day (Monday). I'm expecting delivery tonight :)

Dang for real?

Maybe I should have went with black... it's too late to cancel the order from the incase site. (nto sure how their refunds work) DOH! I guess I will see how I like white (it was a hard choice between the two) and see if I like it or not.

I ordered the anti-glare film from Apple and it said 1-2 weeks before it ships, it shipped the next day and should be here Friday

No, you made a good choice. :)

The white is sexy. With the antiglare film on mine plus the white Slider, it's how the iphone was supposed to look. :D

agreed! im going down to the store tonight to buy the white incase slider ^^

can someone link me to the antiglare film?

EDIT: just bought the white incase SLIDER and the anti glare film..

we will see how it goes....

pretty expensive if u ask me for a case....almost 40 bucks... 34.95

incase feels VERY slippery...but then again with a film + case ? who cares ^^
