I am looking on some advice on a 3g iphone case. My number one concern is that it does not damage the phone by scratching it.

I am looking at 2 cases from incase, the slider and protective cover.

i have an incase slider, and its pretty good, but depending on how specific you are about scratches, the slider does leave some marks where the rubber rails touch of the surface of the back of the phone.

I dont know about the other case as i have never owned one.

Personally, i use an invisible shield back and a power support anti-glare front.
the invisible shield is basically unscratchable, it is one of the toughest films i have ever seen. I recommend that.

The protective cover actually ends up scratching the chrome bezel. Go for the slider, it's REALLY the best case out there.

I've had both...they both scratch.

The slider scratches the back and leaves marks on it, while the protective cover messes up anything chrome and scratches the back if any debris gets in it.
