Hey all. I was wondering. I have a messenger bag currently, which I bought for $20 at a military surplus store. I am going to be buying a macbook pro for college, and I was wondering if I should get an incase slingpack with it or just use my messenger bag. For some more info, the messenger bag does not have any padding in it, but it would be roomy, but the incase slingpack looks super cool, and it might protect the macbook better... Thanks.

It's kind of a personal choice, really. If you need the extra space that your current bag provides, by all means, keep it. If you decide to keep it, however, I'd certainly recommend that you invest in one of the many protective sleeves that are available for storing laptops in bags that are not designed specifically to protect them.
