so i went to the att store to check out cases and i saw this case i haven't seen before. it's the incipio edge slider case... and so far, it's my favorite. i've tried the griffin reveal and apple bumper and this case is SOLID. it reminds me of my old incase slider for my 3g phone.

i don't have pics right now since i'm too lazy to take out my camera but when i get the chance, i'll def post some pics. for now, i found this ONE review of the case (of course i found it after i bought the case lol): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dFcQvfYOs4 and i have the same color. however, the video doesn't really do the color justice because in person, it's a very deep purple which i actually kind of like.

anyway, the review is spot on but i just want to add some things. before i say anything, i just want to say again that i really like this case. there's no creaking, the phone is very snugly fitted in (i've taken it off maybe 5 times now and i don't see any scratches) and it just feels very solid.

with that said, i'll just talk about some negatives (these are just me nitpicking the case). first off, i'm guessing this is fresh off the press so there are some qc issue. i guess the most important thing are the cutouts. the edges were somewhat 'rough' like it wasn't sanded down as much as they can (the rough edges were only on the volume/silent switch hole). also, the 'lip' that gives it that lay on the table design was 'rough' to the touch (the bottom part that actually touches the glass). it didn't scratch my phone but when i got home i took off the case and luckily i have some automotive, 2000 grit sandpaper which worked wonderfully. i cleaned up the 'rough' edges and it is now perfect! and the best thing is, NO FLASH PROBLEM!

again watch the review on youtube and when i get the chance, i'll take some pics of this case. i am still waiting to see what incase does with the slider and the snap on but for now, this will definitely do.

oh here are the 2 photo samples. the first photo (left) is without the case and the second photo (right) is with the case on. both taken with very low light coming in from the window and with the flash on.

Can you take some pictures further away? My Belkin Vue was fine at that range, but definitely showed flash issue when trying to take pictures across the room.

That's a nice looking case.. something to consider when I want a different case with more protection than my feather.

Nice. Didn't even know this was out since it says not available on their site.

like i said, this case is really good but i think if you guys want to get it, i'd say wait til they get the kinks and things out... maybe when the 2nd or 3rd batch comes out.

it really seems 'almost' rushed out since there's a good amount of flash on the edges, like some of the first batch of luxe cases. one good thing is, when you buy it in att, you can easily open the package so you can inspect it. i would have done that but this was the only edge case in the store.

anyway, definitely a great case. i have to see what the incase slider will offer but i think this definitely is the slider case to beat at the moment imo. if i end up picking this case over the incase slider, i'll be exchanging this for a 'cleaner' 2nd or 3rd batch. i mean i still have 30 days :p

also here are more pics, with (left) and without (right) the case. i tried my best to take the pics from the same distance. i hung an old calendar with a very glossy finish. i guess i was standing maybe 4 - 4.5 feet. the room was completely dark and i had the flash set on auto.

it might look like there's a very, very slight haze on the pic with the case on but i'm not sure if that's just because the light bounced off at a slightly diff angle than when i took the pic without the case. i'll do more test later on and i'll also take actual pics of the case in the morning.

can't watch youtube at work... some pics of the case would be GREAT

ok. i guess here are some quick, lo res pics (from my 3g phone). i will get some hi res up in the morning hopefully.

i really tried to keep the color properly represented, but i'm under cfl light. hopefully it'll be nice outside in the morning so i can take the pics under natural light, and with a better camera. oh yea the color is like deep purple with that marshmallow/matte texture.

Does with work with InvisibleShield?

i don't have any shields/wraps on my phone. however, just going by how the case is design, i highly doubt it. there is a rubber padding on the back (like how the luxe has the velvet padding) that might not work well with the invisibleshield (i read that the shield has a 'rubbery' texture?).

also, that same rubber padding seems to push the phone up so it creates tension with the 'lip' to help hold it snuggly in place. with that said, if you have a screen protector, it will most likely get pushed off or bubble on the sides.

I purchased one of these earlier today. I was able to get the case on over the Invisible Shield, but I had to be VERY careful...the sides kept wanting to come up.

That being said, I love the case so far! Definitely one of the best looking ones out there right now.

ah that's definitely good to know! someone asked earlier about having a shield on but i just answered with my own assumption since i didn't really have any shield.

and yea the case is awesome :D

but why would they come with two screen protectors?

Up close the flash artifact is not an issue. Try taking a picture of a dimly lit room.

Never mind you already did. Shame on me for not reading the rest of the thread. XD

Hi -

Does the case have a "soft plastic" feel?

The Incase slider case does, and it bothers me because it sticks to my pocket.

Thanks.

has anyone tried this vs. an incase slider? I'd like to know if it fits as tight and is it possible for screen protectors to be on (front/back)

I tried an incase and it did fit with both front and back (tightly) but caused corner bubbling as everyone says in reviews. thanks
