Incipio Feather case... vs. Drops? (iPhone 4)

How is the Feather case against drops?

It just arrived, but after a few "test" drops onto my mousepad it seems like the iPhone lands on its glass front every time no matter what. And that's completely unprotected by the Feather case.

I had a green "bumper" case from Apple and it turned grimy and stretched out after a few removals to plug it into my car. I was pissed. Will be returning it.. if possible.

This case isn't really suitable for drop protection. It's more for scratch protection against the back and sides and to better grip the phone when being held. It's a very minimal case..

Did you do any research before purchasing it?
