Hello All,

Based on the reviews on this awesome site I ordered a new Incipio NGP iPhone 4 translucent case directly from Incipio. It only took six days to arrive from the U.S. to Finland :)

I installed the supplied screen shield perfectly with zero bubbles /trapped dust etc. I then installed the case and it is lifting up the shield in two of the corners and completely down one of the long edges.

Do I need to leave the shield on by itself without the case attached overnight or longer period of time? Do dry installs need time to 'cure'?

P.S. There is also some slight flex when you grip the case in a normal manner, i.e. the outer edges push in towards the antenna surround. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance.

I have the Incipio Smoke case and I have absolutely no problems with the screen protector bubbling (I am using the one provided as well). All I can suggest is when you put on the case be more careful.

Thanks BurntReality,

The screen protector went on perfectly as I applied it in the bathroom /no dust air particles and just removed the factory plastic covers.

Any tips for installing the case more carefully /best method?

Put it in top first, and then pull the bottom two corners over the bottom of the phone at the same time. I have full body ghost armor and have only had minor peeling. It fixes after repositioning. If you are just using the included screen protector you should have no peeling issues.

I have taken it off to smooth out edges. Will install it in top first as suggested.

Many thanks.

I have the NGP Black Matte version. I will attempt to describe how I put it on. I use it w/ a PowerSupport Anti-Glare HD for the Iphone 4 screen protector and has absolutely no bubbling at all.

First, slide in the top of the phone, the side w/ the buttons. Then, rotate the phone until the phone is upside down. Then with your two thumbs, hold on to the bottom two corners of the phone while bringing the rest of the case over the phone with your index fingers.

I find that, by holding down the screen protector as you are bringing over the case, you minimize the chance of bubbling.

Thanks nerdpov. Case is off and shield is still lifting off two of the edges (where your ear normally sits) after being on phone for long time.

EDIT: It is now not sticking to the entire outer right hand side edge and I have to continually press it down so that it sticks. Is this normal practice?

Could not get the protector to stick in the end and it is worst without the case fitted. It lifts up on the complete right hand long edge as well as a few corners. I contacted Incipio support and they said they are going to send me a couple of free screen shields as they should adhere to the screen.

It must be that specific type of screen shield that's the problem because I have the same case and it doesn't cause any bubbling of my PS AG at all. In fact, I have a Pixelskin HD that does bubble my PS AG so I use the Incipio because it doesnt' bubble my screen protector.

The good people at Incipio have just posted me a free replacement case (and did offer me a different case of my choice) plus a set of their new screen protectors with the circular cutout for the front camera plus separate cutout for the earpiece :)

They were excellent /prompt with their customer service.

For the non-US buyers out there: I ordered case on the Wednesday and I received it on the following Tuesday via US Postal Service (US - Finland).

It cost 22.77 GBP or 23.68 EUR delivered and I was fortunate not to pay any custom /import fees. Lucky me I guess :)

I will report back when the new kit arrives.

I have noticed that - with certain screen protectors, some parts of the screen protector will not go back down once it has been lifted. I am not quite sure why this is, it is likely that perhaps oil or some sort got under the screen protector.

I am not too fond of Incipio's default screen protector anyways, might want to consider getting some from another party.

Screen protectors arrived today. They have the dedicated cutout for the front camera and have not peeled up /lifted.

The replacement NGP case fits perfectly and does not flex. Excellent service from Incipio.
