Hey guys,

I own both the iPhone 3G and the iPod Touch 2nd Generation. I use my iPhone all day for texts, calls etc. By 3pm in the afternoon, my iPhone battery is almost gone. My question is, if there is a software that would alert my iPod Touch when there is an incoming call from my iPhone? All I want is to be able to know when there is an incoming call from my phone.

Thanks in advance

Im not even a techie but:

The ONLY way that could work is something through your iPod Touch email... because your touch has NO phone capability...

I don't mean use the iPod Touch instead of the iPhone. I meant just get an alert via bluetooth letting me know my iPhone is ringing.

Err, so lets say you're walking in the park with your ipod touch and iphone, you get a call and you want your ipod to alert you of your call?

Correct. Most of the time when I have my iPod on, I can't hear or feel my phone vibrating.
Is there such a software?

How could your iPod-- again--with NO phone capabilities, POSSIBLY alert you to your phone ringing.

Maybe you should think this through...

Maybe YOU should think this through. It's very clear what he's saying.

iPhone ----bluetooth---> iPod Touch ---headphones----> notification of ringing

And I don't believe there's any way for this to happen, even jailbroken

For the last time, through the bluetooth connection. Obviously there isn't anything of that sort, thanks anyways.

Finally someone got it! thanks :)

As of right now, there is no way. The bluetooth options in the iPod Touch 2G are not yet activated until the new 3.0 software is out this summer. When that does come out, I'm not sure what capabilities it will have.

All in all, you can't just yet. ;)
