I had an application on my blackberry that would take the area code of the incoming call and would display the number and the location on the caller ID. So an incoming call would say (704) xxx-xxxx and then under it, would say "Charlotte, NC". Any iPhone apps that do that? Jailbreak or from App Store...

I'm pretty sure my iPhone does that when the number isn't in my contacts. I know for sure that it lists the location in the recent call list.

You don't need an app, the phone will do it automagically, just the way you described. I do wish there was a way to display it for people in your contacts though.

The iPhone only shows you where the call came from when you look at your call history. I wish it would tell you WHEN the call is coming through.

Exactly! It'd be nice if there was some way that it would show up on the caller ID of an incoming call.
