this is a serious problem. my voicemail is not working, if somebody tries calling me, its rings, and i can answer, but if i dont answer, it goes to the busy tone instead of voicemail. please someone help this is really bad if someone needs to get in touch with me!

i also noticed that it sounds like somebody is typing while im trying to call it...like someones tapping into my phone. what the heck?
This would be something for your carrier to fix. I wouldn't think that it has anything to do with the iPhone. Can you get into VVM?
okay guys i got it all taken care of. what happened was, a while ago i enabled call forwarding to my friends phone, and when i turned it off, it was like half activated on at&t's network, so it would call my phone, then think it was still forwarding, so it would try to connect to my friends voicemail, and get confused and go to the busy signal. the lady at at&t reset my voicemail, and said she still heard the busy signal, then she said she noticed that the network still had call forwarding turned on, and on my phone it was off. so she disabled that, and i restarted my phone, but its tethered so it took like 3 minutes. and its working again. so if any of you have this problem, now you know how to fix it.
