New Iphone user here with my first question. Can the incoming volume be locked with the Apple's 5 Iphone? My incoming volume sometimes accidentally gets turns down and I'm unaware of the setting. TIA

Do you mean the ear-speaker volume or ringer volume?
There's no way to lock the ear-speaker volume but you can lock the ringer volume by going into settings -> sounds. Under the 'Ringer and Alerts' section, turn OFF the 'Change with Buttons'. This will keep your ringer volume fixed.
