Not sure where to post this but since it still applies to ios 16PB1 I figure here is as good as anywhere?
I am finding that hotspot connection is very inconsistent between my iPhone 13 Pro and my Windows 10 laptop. Sometimes the Windows laptop finds the hotspot and connects quickly and sometimes it takes a minute or two.... if it ever connects.
Hotspot is on and is set to "allow others to join". I get the same behavior with "maximize compatibility" on or off. Windows is set to automatically connect to the hotspot. But it sometimes just never happens.
This was discovered the first time I used the hotspot on ios 15.5 and seems to continue into ios 16 PB1.
Googling for keywords seems to show that a lot of people are asking the question but the answers are just generic "here's how to set up the hotspot".
FWIW, my wife has had some similar issues between an iPhone SE (1st) and an iPad Pro so this is not strictly a Windows thing.
