Inconsistent notifications for phone calls

Hi guys, this has been driving me mad

Admittedly, I’m on the public beta wherever the latest is

Some phone calls come through and ring as normal and you can visually see it on the phone

Other calls don’t ring at all, but then you do get a badge and notification for the Call being missed and then obviously the subsequent visual voicemail

There’s no focus enabled

I’ve got nothing clever in terms of silencing unknown calls or anything like that

Any ideas??

Are they spammers? I get this when I receive spam calls, I see the phone light up, but no ringing and then I see I have a VM, all of the VMs left are spam. This has been happening for years.

Not spammers no. Legitimate calls. From various numbers including local council etc for mums care.
