Inconsitent Xperia Z1 screens

Apparently, Sony is using 4(!) types of screens for the Z1. Two of which are IPS panels from Samsung and JDI and the other two are screens similar to the outgoing Xperia Z, sourced from JDI or Sharp.

wow that really sucks. It's literally a lottery.
