Hello,
Im running on a 2011 macbook pro, and when connecting to a projector using
a third-party (cheap) miniDP-to-HDMI adapter, the image does not cover the entire projected area. It is also not in correct ration, it look like 3:4 and not 16:9.
In the display preferences, I can choose a 1080p and 1080i, but not 1920X1080,
like i can with other external displays. I think it happend to me once with a TV, but im not sure.
I know the projector is working fine, and I use other monitors with no problems, but I guess the problem is with the adapter, and maybe with an apple adapter it will work (I had this experience with a miniDP-to-DVI adapter).

But before I buy one, maybe one of you here know of any other solution, or more info about the problem?

Thanks a lot
