Ttoday I did an outdoor walk for 41 minutes tracked by the Activity app. Even though the workout is reported as 41 minutes on the "Exercise" part it only reports 22 minutes. Yesterday I recorded a 22 minute walk but only 10 minutes exercise reported.

Anyone else get this? I've got an open case with Apple Support and waiting for them to get back to me...

activity

the activity app doesn't really TRACK things specifically like that. It has some sort of algo it uses to qualify what is "activity" and then quantify the amount. So, just walking around a bunch, even when you say leave the house at 4 and come back at 5, it might not qualify it all as activity.

It's really best to use a workout app "outdoor walking" etc., to make sure your additional specific details get captured appropriately and quantified. It will also net this out of any activity tracking it may be doing in the background so you don't get to double dip. ;-)
