increase size of radio buttons/scroll bar in mac os x

i have just 'converted' to mac with an imac 27 inch / snow leopard os x.
how can i increase the size of the very small radio buttons in the top left of the window and also the width of the scroll bar without decreasing the pixelation of the screen.
in windows pc this was easily done in display/ appearance in control panel.

I don't believe that's possible without changing your screen resolution.

You also might try enabling the Zoom feature, but that might be a bit odd. http://www.apple.com/pro/tips/zoom_demos.html
