Having installed Panther on my Powerbook 550 with Airport card, I now find the wireless operating range has improved significantly. Coincidence or something clever in Panther?

probaly just better coding here and there on a lot of things. battery life seems better as well.

I'm don't have any facts and have not heard any rumors, but it seems more like a coincidence than anything. A firmware update on the base could help increase range, but i can't imagine anything on the recieving end improve the range significantly or even at all. The range is based on signals leaving the base and going to your card, not the other way around. If anyone can prove me wrong, go right ahead.
