Hi,

I don't know if anyone else has seen this but I have noticed a definite improvement in performance on my iPhone's reception on EDGE when I set the iPhone in it's base (holder). Having it in the base must give it a better antenna. Also, it doesn't matter if the cord is connected to the base. Just having it in the base is all that is needed.

Has anyone else seen this improvement?

i know that some phones work better when at a certain orientation, and it also could be that if your hand is on it it could be acting as a shield to transmission but in the base, the hand is most likely not wrapped around it like when you hold it. this would provide less shielding from the hand
