Incremental iPhone backups have stopped

Hi there. I hope you can help.

I did a little searching and I can't find a solution to my problem.

I haven't been able to get my iPhone to store incremental backups since November. It goes through the (lengthy) backup process but doesn't store the new backup.

I'm on OS X 10.5.6, iPhone 3G 2.2.1 Jailbroken.

Tried updating to the new iTunes today as a last hope but this didn't work.

Any ideas?

Maybe being jailbroken has something to do with it?

I'm sure some of my back ups were post-jailbreak.

Can anyone confirm if Jailbreaking is the problem here? Or Posibly suggest an alternate way to backup?
