It there a way to make an opacity mask in InDesign CS3? I know how to do it in Illustrator, just make a shape with a black to white gradient, place it over desired image, and then go to the transparency panel and select make opacity mask. I find no such option in InDesign. Even making colored gradients isn't very obvious!

Any help would be appreciated. (Well, any help that doesn't include the painfully obvious "just do the effect in Illustrator and import it into InDesign." That's a stupid answer. If you don't know how useful it would be to be able to do this in InDesign, then please don't try to answer, because you probably don't know.)

Sorry if that seems harsh. lol :apple:
