Has anyone used any software and/or plug ins containing emulations or samples of instruments used in Indian Classical Music (Hindustani in particular, but also Carnatic)?
I'm thinking here of things like sitar, tanpura/tamboura, tabla, mridingam and the like.
SwarShala and its variants seems to be the major piece of software for this, but I haven't been able to hear the quality of the samples and so am wary of buying it.
If anyone here has any experience with any such software I'd be interested in hearing about the resolution used for samples, how editable they are, and anything else you may think is useful.
