iPhone Air Induction charging in the car

Can someone who has the iPhone Air ensure that it is charged in the car on a standard flat induction charging base? I say it because of the thickness of the camera, which separates the contact surface and perhaps does not charge

Just not the heat it generates though.

I just use a charge cable.

My 2025 MDX charges fine but it causes the phone to warm up. I quit using the wireless charging and just plug a USB-C cable to charge it and it stays perfectly cool.

I'm personally not a fan of these induction chargers built into cars. Definitely convenient, but I imagine for so many phones they're not perfectly aligned and results in overheating while charging.

Hopefully eventually we see MagSafe 2 / Qi2 become standard in cars and elsewhere for charging.

I definitely did not care for how warm my iPhone 14 got when I used the built in charging pad on my 2023 Ford Escape. Needless to say I won't bother using it for my iPhone 17 either.
