This guy writes good, easy to understand articles.

The one thing that I think was missing was the need for the extra connectors (versus mini or micro usb) that allow control of the device via docks and other accessories. (Or at least I missed it in the article)

When I first saw the title, I was thinking - we don't know what it is yet, so just wait.

BUT - after reading the article, I found it well written and interesting. Waiting to see what Apple really does. Thinking the next stage show will highlight the cool things they have done with this connector.

one thing I hope for is a notification led on the charge cable connector itself to show red when charging and green when charged that way I don't have to look at the phone
