Hi all,

First post!

I'm at a conference at the moment looking at the acoustics of violins. We have a setup here that consists of a tone generator hooked up to the violin and a Tektronix oscilloscope hooked up to a mic to look at the phase difference between the input and output signal of the violin. I'm wondering if there's a digital tone generator and oscilloscope (or x/y phase plot) that will let me look at the phase of the "line-out" and "line-in" signals simultaneously. Bonus if it's a piece of software that doesn't cost several hundred dollars- I'm a poor college student!

Thank you!

I guess my original post was too long... sorry.

I don't just need a tone generator. I need an oscilloscope with a built-in tone generator that can simultaneously look at the output (speaker) and the "mic in" signal.
