Just that? What are you going to do? Create image? Extract image? Or just listing files in the image?DISM
The proposed fixes did not help.So simple search shows 0x800F0907 is related to .Net Framework 3.5 installation failure. Is this your problem?
Hmm. Microsoft does mention users should disable security software during update process to avoid such issues. I don't have any third party security software in my system so I almost forget about it.I managed to fix it by:
- Uninstalling/deactivating third-party security software so that I could repair install (fixed the corruption)
- Disk Cleanup (Windows Update cleanup) so that I could upgrade then to Anniversary Edition
Probably it would have been possible to upgrade to Anniversary directly in the first step.
Other computers with the same software had no problem upgrading.Hmm. Microsoft does mention users should disable security software during update process to avoid such issues. I don't have any third party security software in my system so I almost forget about it.
And this is the same recommendation for installing windows update, which is even frustrating from windows 10 forcing frequent system update.Other computers with the same software had no problem upgrading.
I did not know it was an official (lame) recommendation.
This did not work. You need to mount an image of win 10 and point DISM to it.
