OK so a few weeks back i tried to JB 5.0.1 with Redsn0w. Tutorials said to point redsn0w to 5.0, did that. The JB worked, and Redsn0w said to 'Just boot tethered' while pointing to 5.0. There's where the problem started. My iPod is in an infinite reloop so natuarly i try to restore/update. I get error 3194. I would really appreciate help :).

Thanks in advance,
Ethanzh

Like I said, I am in the infinite respring so I don't care how but I want to be able to use the thing. There is an untethered JB for 5.0.1 now so after I restore/update I can do that. But whenever I restore to stock 5.0.1 I get error 3194.

I had that error yesterday and idk if it will work for you. If you never jailbroke your ipod this might not work but if u have download tiny umbrella and plug the ipod in and when its opened go to the advance tab and uncheck the box that says set hosts to cydia and just close tinyumbrella and try the update/restore on itunes again

I did this yesterday and worked right away

Will this work in infinite respring? I can't get tinyumbrella to recognize my iPod. Is there a trick to make it recognize? iTunes, Windows, etc will recognize the device.

So I assume you had no problems plugging a infinite respring device into a computer and having TU recognize it? How do I know if the device is recognized? Is there a tab or something with device name, etc..?

Im not on a computer right now so i cant tell you exactly but there should be a apanel on the left and on top there should be like connected device or something like that and click on your ipod. If you have it inn the previouss tab try doing it on that
