Info for existing UK iphone 02 customers on launch day?

I have an Iphone i got on the launch day in UK. I am upgrading the to the 3g iphone on launch day (11 july) and phoned to o2 to ask for more information on what to actually do.

They said that I should phone on 11th to buy the phone or do it online. they guy didnt actually know fully as they had not been told yet what would happen.

So basicly it seems that i would get the phone on 12th or 13th as i would have to get it online/by phone and wait for it.

Anybody have any info if it is possible to buy them before and have it delivered on 11th (that is wishful thinking)?

As you've said. 02 (or AT&T or whoever) don't fully know yet, so there's no point in planning any action purely on the basis of speculation.

We just have to wait this out and when they know...we'll know.

I expect a flood of info around the 1st July IMHO
