Hello all
yes this has been a theme previously except in my situation complicated.
No doubt you may have read my windows 10 install on mac pro:
https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...usb-or-dvd-or-bootcamp.2151782/#post-26817543
The complication is that the 7300gt which is installed in slot 4 for boot screen support works well, except in windows 10, it conflicts with the radeon drivers for the R9 280x.
I am seeking advice for a route to achieve:
1 keep the mac pro for another few years.
2 A replacement for 7300gt but radeon equivalent and keep boot screen for mac os and windows 10.
The 7300gt is used under windows 10 but for non critical work, displaying mac fans control etc., nothing gpu or cpu demanding.
3 Also a replacement must be able to be used from at least 10.7.5 Lion.
What about radeon x1300 256mb as a 7300gt replacement?
What about replacing the R9 280x with a nvidia based equivalent.
if yes, which model and what issues with mac os and windows 10?
Any comments?
