Infograph Calendar did not update automatically

Using Infograph with Sub-Dial Top Calendar. Calendar set to Mirror my iPhone.

Early morning - iPhone Calendar properly showed new day and date, but watch Sub-Dial Top Calendar still showed previous day and date. The bezel did properly show an activity on the calendar. Tried restarting Watch app on iPhone, which had no effect.

On the watch, I swipped screen face to Infograph Modular, which showed correct date, then swipped back Infograph which finally showed correct day and date.

I have 2 Series 4 watches, each watch paired to a separate XS Max. Same behavior with both.

Any idea what is going on?

Bugs, that's what's going on. Sadly this is just yet another bug that Apple needs to fix. Perhaps you can report it through their feedback page at https://www.apple.com/feedback/
