Infrared port not recognized on iMac

Hi,

I've got a Core Duo iMac 1,83 GHz and the infrared port is not recognized! I've taken a look at "Preferences -> Deactivate/activate infrared reception" and that option doesn't even appear on the menu! :mad:

What could it be? Hope is not an issue with the irda board... :confused:
