i now know that after purchasing my iphone 3g i should not use it and charge it for 8 hours and then let it drain all the way and then recharge to 100 etc. so i can calibrate the battery indicator. however, how do i know when the battery is calibrated?

You really wont know Lol apple doesn't give us a more advanced view of that info I would just let it drain all the way when u get it and then let it charge fully!
