Initial opening of FireFox is slow

After I restart my computer. It always seems that it always takes Firefox a good 3-5 seconds to open. But then If I open it again later in a few minutes/hours/days without restarting, it still opens fast. Anyone ever get this? This does this on my friends Mac, and even on my Gaming Desktop..

Yeah, Firefox is crap in terms of speed (well, on Mac, at least). It's been angering me ever since I switched to Mac 7 months ago, so recently I've switched to Safari. Seems a lot lighter and faster of a browser.
