Inj3ct0r hacker team is claiming responsibility for hacking MacRumors and vBulletin. I wonder if clockwize0 is part of the team or if this is plain BS. MacRumors is based on vBulletin 3.0, and they say it is a vulnerability in 4 and 5. They are also claiming they shut down YouTube, which is ridiculous. They could just be claiming other hacks and crashes as their own hacks.

Quote from them:

"Inj3ct0r Team hacked vBulletin.com and Macrumors.com

Inj3ct0r Team hacked the big CMS vendor vBulletin.com

We got shell , database and root server. We wanted to prove that nothing in this world is not safe.

We found a critical vulnerability in vBulletin all versions 4.x.x and 5.х.x

We've got upload shell in vBulletin server, download database and got root.

Macrumors.com was based on vBulletin CMS. We use 0day exploit on vBulletin, got password moderator. 860000 hacked too.

The network security is a myth"

Here was a post on November 11:

"Today is 11/11/13, and the team 1337day reminds you of our promise to tell about breaking a very large vendor with the provision of evidence. We are starting a countdown, all the hottest details you will see in Friday 15/11/13 .
Do you think that now Hacked?"

If they posted user details from the vBulletin attack, why didn't they do the same with MacRumors? I don't think it was them. Clockwize0 was definitely involved, however. He posted arn's hash and salt on the InsidePro forums to be cracked.

I hope they get arrested and thrown in jail for at least a month. I don't care if they are trying to make some kind of point. This sort of behavior should not be tolerated.

The sad fact is. The average cost of a zero day is $1000,000. And they used it to hack a forum of Mac users.
