hello, i just wanted to ask if anyone here has noticed post script printing (illustrator, indesign) to an ink jet printer WITHOUT any post script ripping software.

i have a cheap lexmark Z23 and it PRINTS POSTSCRIPT FILES:D without any post script ripping software.

this is so strange, to my knowledge (and the people at epson) you NEED a postscript rip to translate the postscript information to something the inkjet can understand. but in osx it doesnt seem neccessary. does anyone know why?

i have printed out my logo created in illustrator and it works fine. i also printed out a job from indesign and it works fine. no jagged edges at all.

epson seems to think that osx might have some postscript rip built into it. i agree. does anyone have knowledge about this?
