Ok, sorry it took so long, to awhile to get the snap to take while the handwriting was still showing.

5 screen snaps.
first one show text being written

snap 3
when you click the send button, it will copy and paste whatever is on the inkpad into the frontmost application, in this example, textedit

snap 4

you can draw pictures and diagrams by clicking on the star in the lower left corner of the inkpad, this is great for making quick sketches of what you are talking about. hopefully you can draw a better pic than me!

So does Ink not show up until you attach a graphics tablet, or something like that?

It's not in the builds I've seen lately...

Yes, the pref pane doesn't show up unless you have a tablet plugged in.

here is snap of that.

very cool, i've got a large 9x12 Wacon tablet, I should be able to get some use out of it. But how practical is it for a computer - as opposed to a PDA?

it is easier to type by far (especially when your handwriting is as bad as mine :D )

However, i see its main use for me as being used for taking notes during meetings. Where you are doing short bursts of activity and the clicking of a keyboard would distract others.

It is much easier to use than Graffiti on the palm.
