I really like my iPhone 8 that I got in December.

But after using the lightning to 3,5mm adapter, I'm a missing the inline controls on my RHA t20i headphones. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. I have the latest version of iOS installed. I've tried to google this, but didn't find any solutions.

I bought the Libratone Q adapt headphones with lightning plug, but the lower sound quality and the (to me) cheap look and feel made me go back to the RHAs.

I'm considering wireless options, but a lot of them don't seem to do inline controls anyway, as they consist of only small earbuds. Also from reading reviews, SQ in general seems to be lower compared to price, i.e. RHA's blue tooth headphones seem from the reviews I found to be lacking in SQ.

I found the perfect headphones with RHA t20i, and I just want something similar, with the ability to skip songs and change volume (or even just take the phone if it rings!) without picking up the iPhone, and without spending too much money.

Any suggestions, or something I'm missing here?

TIA!

Answering to my own post:

I simply bought a new lightning to 3,5mm adapter, and the problem disappeared...
If the issue was with the included 3.5mm adapter, then Apple should have (or at least could have) simply swapped it out for you under warranty so you wouldn't have to spend more money on another one (unless you got a different one of some sort).
