Ever since I upgraded to Mavericks, and started using Messages, images my wife sends me over chat require me to download them, then open the finder window, click on the image file, and open the image in Preview. With an older laptop, this process can take forever.
Sometimes, the image appears inline in the messages window, then disappears when I click in the window to look at it, again requiring me to open it in the finder.
What is the secret to getting images to stay in the chat window and not be downloaded every time?
