Input devices drop even when connected with USB

Months ago I started using usb wired connections with my Magic Keyboard and Trackpad after constant Bluetooth drop outs.
Now I just lost connection with both while they are hard wired.
Everything is standard Apple issue, including the cables.

Is there a know fix here, or just something you have to put up with?

I'm using Bluetooth for my Logitech keyboard and Kensington mouse and haven't experienced any dropouts. But I have encountered a similar USB problem. I charge my iPhone and iPad using the USB-C ports on the front and charge my Samsung watch using a USB-A port on the back. Sometimes they simply stop charging. Rebooting the Studio fixes it . . . for a while.
