Hello,
I'm experiencing an issue on my iMac where the Finder search function is not working properly. When I try to search for files or folders, the results either don't appear at all or are incomplete, even though I’m sure the items exist on the disk.
Here are the details of my device:
Device: iMac 24-inch, 2023
Chip: Apple M3
Memory: 24 GB
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
macOS Version: Sequoia 15.5
I have already tried the following steps to resolve the issue:
Restarting the device
Checking Spotlight search settings and privacy
Reindexing using the mdutil command
Testing search from another user account
Unfortunately, the problem persists.
I would appreciate your assistance in identifying the cause and suggesting any additional steps I can take to resolve this.
Thank you in advance,
