Recently a very annoying thing has happened to Inquisitor in Safari.

When I used to type into Inquisitor the only thing that appeared was the black Inquisitor box with suggested search results.

Now it looks like Spotlight also appears over the top of the Inquisitor box - which is really annoying.

I use Inquisitor to give me UK search results because Safari can not be configured to do that!

How can I stop this happening? I have tried changing settings for Spotlight, and also settings in Safari. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Inquisitor.

If you look at my attached image you can just make out spotlight underneath the Spotlight search results.

Blame Safari 4.0.3. You will have to wait for the developer to release a patch. I just switched to Glims, which works almost as good.

Don't get too comfy though-- snow leopard kills Safari hacks, unless you are willing to run safari in 32-bit mode.

I'm in Safari 4.0.3 and OS X 10.5.8 Leopard and had the same problem.

Just uninstalled Inquisitor, restarted Safari, then downloaded and installed again. (version 3.2 v62)

I don't know if it was a newer version (dont' recall the previous), or the refreshed install/settings, but it stopped producing the duplicate suggestions.
