I though that it was only in my head, but after a while it is quite noticeable, I have an insane delay between the time mail arrives to the time I get a sound notification/alert to let me know that mail arrived.

Anyone experiencing this bug as well?

It is quite annoying, it makes me think that I received mail when I didn't.

:/

I wouldn't call it insane, but yes, I do notice a delay in mine as well at times.

Same here. And it is insane! As in there's no reason for this to happen because the notifications show up just fine.

Sigh...

Also, the cursor arrow fails to make a showing after I compose a new message. I have to click the send button and the tiny close button with the "I" cursor.

What bugs me worse than that is the Share from a document is messed up. It won't let me add email addresses like it used to.

Ditto here. Sound comes in just in time for me to look up and see the notification disappearing (before I can read it).. Very annoying. File a bug report and hope..

I have time to reply or delete message before I hear this sound!
Sometimes the overlay icon is missing, forced to reopen Mail to appear it again.

This has been happening for a long long time now, well before Mavericks...

It can be so delayed that it happens a half-hour after I get the email. Sometimes it only takes 5 seconds.

Seems to be worse on my Macs with more accounts on them.

I'm having the issue to. Haven't timed it, but I think it's around a 2-3 minute delay (minimum). The issue started after installing Mavericks.

Anyone had any success solving this?

We will have to wait until Apple fixes this bug. Some people claim this problem was even under Mountain Lion, however, most, if not all complains started under Mavericks.

Lets see what the next Update brings to the table. Mail already had a big update in terms of importance.

Same here. The delay is so noticeable that I had to turn this *feature* off.

I have already posted on the thread about 10.9.1 / 10.9.2 that I would like to have this fixed.

All the best,
^MPY

O: How do you turn it off?

Luis

Hi Luis,

You can turn this option off by clicking on Mail -> Preferences -> General.

Please see the screenshot.

If you have any other question, please let me know.

Best regards,

^MPY

They really messed up the sound in Mavericks.

The volume bloop sound when you increase or decrease using the keyboard buttons is also delayed and QuickTime produces crackling audio

Man Windows Vista is so annoying! Oh wait, we are talking about Mavericks? I got confused from all these little annoying bugs. ;)
