Insane: White iPhone 16GB, eBay, $691.09

You must see this to believe it. Some guy is promising to deliver a white iPhone 4 16GB model to your doorstep on June 25th, and he's gotten like 13 bidders already....the price is up to like $691.09 already and there is 3 hours left in the auction.

Fishy, fishy, fishy.

I don't really believe it. Again, no word from Apple or AT&T about the official availability of ANY of the white models. People must have thought they were shipping today and you could pre-order today, so they made an eBay listing promising a June 25th delivery. Likely: This is not going to happen. Somebody is gonna get screwed royally and be out $700 or so. Not me. But, I still find it interesting.

I bet he wasn't expecting the "white not available at launch" move by Apple when he posted the ad. Who did? My guess is he isn't a scammer, probably just an unlucky guy who was trying to make a buck.

Well I just sent the guy an e-mail to the effect of: Can you absolutely, positively, without a doubt, 100% guarantee delivery of this white iPhone 4 at my doorstep on June 25th??? It will be interesting to hear what he has to say, given that absolutely nobody even knows when Apple, AT&T or anybody will begin taking orders for them.
